Wildlife

Wildlife in Uttar Pradesh is synonymous with Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, but in fact, the state has a lot more to offer to enthusiasts and tourists alike! There are several parks and sanctuaries here that are home to a variety of species, extinct in other parts of Northern India, such as, the endangered Bengal Florikin and the successfully reintroduced, One-horned Rhinoceros. The splendid and vast hinterlands of the state are alive with exceptionally diverse wildlife, waiting, to be discovered. So rich is the population of the avifauna here that the birds not only flock around the lakes and water-bodies, but also in the agricultural fields of the various parts of the state.
