Do's Don'ts

  1. It is illegal and prohibited to indulge in hunting, poaching, diverting harvests and produce and other agro- activities in the forest area is punishable.
  2. All cattle, within a 5 kms radius of the forest area have to be vaccinated against diseases.
  3. Carrying inflammable items in the forest premises/periphery or lighting a fire within the forest area is prohibited. Protecting the jungles from fire hazard is the duty of each individual.
  4. Domesticated animals, pets are not allowed within the forest area.
  5. No admission without proper permission.
  6. With the exception of the Canteen and the Rest houses, lighting a fire is strictly prohibited. Smoking is also not allowed in the forest area. Any violation is punishable by law.
  7. Non-degradable refuse [glass/cans/bottles] have to be carried back by the visitors. Littering is strictly prohibited and punishable by law.
  8. As per statutory government orders, using plastic bags and bottles is punishable by a fine of Rs.250/- for the first offence.
  9. Liquor / Alcoholic Drinks and Non-vegetarian food are prohibited.
  10. All rules of the Wild Life Protection /Conservation Act are applicable on all visitors.
  11. Entry to the park is at one’s own risk; .The forest administration is not responsible for any untoward incident.
  12. Tourists are requested to o contact the Ramnagar Divisional Office for the reservation / booking of the rest houses.
